Pru\u017ea za\u0161titu stiropora na toplotnoj i zvu\u010dnoj izolaciji, od direktnog utjecaja cementa i o\u0161trih \u010destica glazura. Ista folija je barijera za prodiranje vlage u estrihe i propisana ISO \/ DIN standardima. Debljina PE ekstrudirane folije je od 0,14 do 0,15 mm, tj. 140-150 qmm (mikrona). Jednostrano se \u0161tampa u mre\u017enom uzorku s rasporedom 100&#215;100 mm \u2013 punih linija i isprekidanih izme\u0111u linija na 50 mm. Pri polaganju PE folija se me\u0111usobno povezuju ljepljivom trakom. Folija je izuzetno \u010dvrsta za penetraciju, ima propisanu vodonepropusnu gusto\u0107u i fleksibilna je za efikasno postavljanje na stiroporne ravne plo\u010de.
