| Purpose | For preparing the substrate when installing underfloor (surface) heating and cooling. It protects polystyrene boards from the direct impact of cement and sharp particles. The same film is a barrier against moisture penetration into the screed and is prescribed by ISO/DIN standards. Compared to PE film, it has the advantage of relieving the substrate of static charge caused by fluid flow, and it absorbs and evenly distributes heat transfer to the substrate. The printed raster grid enables a quick and precise pipe layout without using a measuring tape during installation. PEX and AL-PEX pipes are fixed to the AL foil on a flat styrofoam board with the POLY clamp (catalog number: 03-09) and the POLY Tacker (catalog number: 03-22). |
| Characteristics | The AL foil is made of SOLFLEX, printed on one side with a grid pattern, with solid lines in a 100×100 mm layout and dashed lines at 50 mm. When laying the AL foil, it is joined lengthwise with AL adhesive tapes. The AL foil has high conductivity, water resistance, flexibility and conductivity for static electricity. It is installed by hand. |
